Make your space inviting

A major key element in design is making your space “inviting,” even if your only intention is to make it inviting to yourself. Your opinion of your space is what matters the most. The way one feels about their space trickles down into every aspect of one’s life. If one’s space is messy, uninspiring and a source of contention, one’s life may also feel that way. Let’s start within your home to help cleanse your soul.

Build it, and they will come

As we’ve discussed in other posts, buildings are just structures to house what is important. This is not to discredit the work of architecture, because that in and of itself is art. However, it is what goes in that building or house that truly makes it what it is. First and foremost, what make’s a house a home is the people who inhabit it. A home should be expression of these beings. Second, how those beings are expressed through art, furniture, design and attention to detail is what separates a “structure” from a “home.” Our goal is always to incorporate the details of the home’s inhabitants into our design. In short, the home must feel like you in for you to feel welcome in it.
